Studio Hire
Our studios are perfect for a wide range of uses from baby and toddler music groups, workshops and courses, theatre company rehearsals or couples rehearsing their first dance.Our flexible space has excellent transport links from York City Centre, Clifton Moor shops and only a 2 minute walk Eastholme Drive shops, or 10 minute walk to Aldi. There is free on site parking, in a private, lockable car park. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent customer service and providing a clean, neat and tidy work space. What's included...
Weekly availability
The studios are available to hire 9am-2pm weekdays, afternoons on weekends and evenings after classes have completed during the week. Please see our timetable for available slots.
Multiple Spaces
Hirers can choose from either the Shimmer or Moonlight studio, which are fully equipped with ballet barres, mirrored walls and professional dance floors, or Harmony Hub, a smaller space with a mirrored wall, durable lino flooring and access to the outside space.
Communal areas
Hirers also have access to our communal changing room, toilet and baby changing facilities and our small kitchen which has tea and coffee making facilities. Hirers are asked to bring their own tea, coffee and milk to limit food waste on site.
Discounts for long term hire
All our rooms are hireable by the hour at a set price, however we do discount block bookings and regular hires. Please give us a call to discuss!
What we ask from you...
Please note our space is created for SDA classes, we would not be able to accommodate another dance group looking to run classes the same or similar to our own. Individual dancers looking for a space to record audition entries or similar are very welcome.
All hirers must provide their own music licence and the relevant insurance for their activities. Spotlight Dance Academy will not accept responsibility for any loss or injury from a 3rd party hire.
